Add page numbers

Put numbers on a document that never had them. Choose the corner, the format — plain, "Page 3", "3 of 40" — the first number, and which page the counting starts on, so front matter does not have to be numbered.

Questions people actually ask

Can I skip the cover page?

Set "start counting at page" to 2. The cover stays clean and page 2 gets the first number.

Do you keep a copy of my file?

No. Add page numbers runs entirely inside your browser using WebAssembly and the Canvas API — the bytes of your document never travel to us. The only thing that reaches our servers is a counter incrementing by one, and whatever you deliberately choose to save to your library.

Is it really free?

Yes: three documents a day, up to ten pages each, with no account and no watermark. Beyond that, Baker is $10 a month for 300 documents with no page limit at all, and Bakery is $25 for 1,500.
